“At Cherokee Days, students will participate in traditional Cherokee activities and games to learn about life for Cherokee families around the European settlements began growing in the eastern United States,” says 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Crowe.
Mrs. Crowe goes on to explain, “This fits with state Social Studies standards as fifth graders spend their year studying the Colonial Era and continues with the American Revolution throughout the year.”
