Claremore-Sequoyah Tournament

Basketball season is under way with the first tournament of the season in the books. The athletes have been playing their hardest in the first tournament of the season.

The Claremore-Sequoyah Tournament started Monday, November 9th, where the eighth grade boys won, 29-19, beating Dewey.

The seventh grade boys lost, with a close score of 32-35 against Claremore-Sequoyah. Coach Hollingshed said, “The boys were losing in the beginning, 16-3, but came back and tied 28-28. Even though they lost in the end, they played their hardest.”

The sixth grade girls came in with a big win beating Salina, 33-7.

Tuesday, November, 10th, the eighth grade girls came back with another win against Salina, 30-16. The seventh grade boys also came back with a win, 29-17, beating the Chelsea Dragons. The sixth grade boys played their hardest also beating Chelsea, 24-14.

On Thursday, November 12th, the eighth grade claimed the 3rd place plaque beating Sequoyah, 22-50. The seventh grade boys lost their game against Dewey, 23-30, but were honored to with constellation champions. The sixth grade girls won their third and final game against Dewey, 18-14, also winning 3rd place in the tournament!

The coaches, as well as the fans are super proud of all these young athletes and are ready to coach and cheer them on throughout a great season!!
