On December 12, the Nowata Journalism had their annual Christmas party. The Journalism Club members stayed local and ate at the Mexican restaurant, El Tapatio. Members also drew names to receive a Secret Santa gift for the giving portion of the party. The gift amount had to be less than $5.  Students received a variety of gifts from candy, t-shirts, hand sanitizer , and gag gifts like a miniature tea set and whoopee cushions. They ended the Christmas party with a group picture in front of El Tapatio. “I love the Christmas party every year because its a time when I get to spend with the students outside of class. There is always something memorable said or done that only the journalism group knows”, says journalism club advisor Darla Wright. “What happens in journalism stays in journalism”, says journalism club president Jarred West
