Nowata Middle School

The Nowata Winter Concert!

Nowata Middle and High School band and choir hosted their winter concert Monday night, at 7:00 p.m.The Nowata Music Concert was conducted by Jennifer Prince and accompanied by Marilyn Custer.

The Beginning Band started out with, “First Christmas March” by J. O’Reilly. Then, “Up On The Housetop”, by Arr. B. Pearson. They finished up with,”Two Christmas Bells”.

The Middle School Band began with,” Angels We Have Heard On High”,by Arr. B. Pearson and C. Elledge. Then, “No. 84. O Tannenbaum” by Traditional. They wrapped it all up with, “Deck The Halls” also by Arr. B. Pearson and C. Elledge.

“We practiced hard and the high school band did better than expected. The middle school did awesome!” stated Steven Hunter, percussion.


The High School Band played with all their hearts, “The 3 Minute Nutcracker”, by Tchaikovsky Arr. L. Conley. After that, the “Christmas Classique” by ¬†Arr. L. Clark, then finished off with “A Swingin’ Holiday” by Arr. R. Ford.

The High School Choir wrapped everything up with,”Do You Want To Build A Snowman?” by Arr. M. Brymer, then with, “How Like Winter”, by W. Shakespeare and R. Gray, and finished with, “O’ Come and Sing of Christmas,” by Arr. G. Gilpin.

“It was a good performance and I really enjoyed being a part of it!” proclaimed Chris Morgan, High School Choir.
