Spotlight on Students

Everyone has something interesting about them, and some people have 15.

Senior Lindsey Woodring:

“Lindsey is a very hard worker, even on days when she is tired and just wants to lounge around,” said teacher’s aide Terrie Callsion. “Lindsey loves school so much she is hardly ever absent and she studies very hard,” Callison added. She loves to sing and go to choir, which is her favorite part of the day. Mrs. Prince is her favorite teacher. She loves the color pink and will not miss any opportunity to wear it. Lindsey is easily excited and takes every chance to get her picture taken. Frozen is her favorite movie and she loves to sing along to all the songs. Lindsey enjoys Taylor Swift’s music and knows every word to every song she has ever performed. Although Lindsey is wheelchair bound that doesn’t mean she can’t have fun. At Special Olympics, Lindsey participates in bowling, the softball throw, and Lindsey’s personal favorite, the wheelchair races. Special Olympics is an international program of fitness and athletic competition for children and adults who have mental and often physical disabilities.
